I was invited to present at Auckland University to a group of students taking a human services and social work paper.
This lecture focused on social exclusion. I spoke about how the Patience Project allows teenagers suffering from long term illness, to be socially included back into their classroom while at home or hospital.
It was great to spread the word about what we do, and to have people come up to me afterwards and share their own personal story.
One young lady told me about how she had endured a head injury in her last year at school, and how this opportunity would have been amazing for her.
The enthusiastic responses and awesome feedback I received was greatly appreciated!
